Integrated Security Enclosure
HD Protech designed the integrated security enclosure (ISE) based on our customers’ request to resolve two primary issues: Remote management without communication and reduce installation cost through simplifying set ups and deployment.
Current deployment of security enclosures still relies of the back end management to manage issues of devices connected and powered by the enclosure. HD Protech resolves this issue by having intelligent self-aware software inside the enclosure to manage the devices “at the edge”.
HD Protech’s device management services (DMS) monitors and react accordingly to issues with devices (cameras, encoders, sensors, etc.) without any user intervention. DMS can operate in a standalone mode or a management mode. DMS is aware if communication is down, the unit will operate as a standalone unit. Once communication is restored, it will connected and send all logs and/or alerts to the backend management. Also, using HD Protech’s management, you will have a device operating history showing any imminent component failure that needs replacing. For example, Camera A has been operating for the last 6 months but the logs show it’s been restarted eight times in 24 hours. The health monitor will show the camera as yellow giving the Operator reason to monitor the camera closely.
We designed the ISE to be easily configured by using similar operating systems that most installers are used to working with, Windows®. We standardized on connectors that are easily installable in the field while minimize electrical shocks. Windows interface allowing the administrator and installers to easily configured the enclosure for deployment.
Unlike other manufacturer solutions, the administrator can view the ISE unit while the unit is not power on. Remote power on/off is standard. The administrator can console into the unit and review boot process at his or her desk while the unit is hundreds miles away1.
Our goal was to allow the installation to be completed without having to open the enclosure to hardwire or make changes. In our experiences, the rule is always powered down the unit before installing. Unfortunately, the installers tend to forget sometimes, therefore all input power plugs to the enclosure as well as all output power from the enclosures are female to avoid accidentally touching exposed pins. All connectors are color coded to represent either AC or DC output power. All connectors are field installable using a crimper tool.
Connectors are twist locked for easy single twist connect and disconnect. From the development of ISE, there is one additional benefit. You can now load your own software to run on the unit.
The original design was for used as a low power LPR processor, however, the ISE can serve as a network video recorder (NVR) or ITS server as well.

Each ISE can be used in a standalone or network environment, Embedded Windows® 7 Operating System, and Ethernet switch.
The system is capable of handling up to Twelve (12) cameras*.
Easy to connect cabling system allows for faster installs. Also, each unit is fully configured making it easy for customers to configure and set up each unit within 30 minutes.
