The ILPR™ Enterprise system from HD Protech is an evolution of our ILPR Lite product which is designed for standalone deployments where unattended edge only operation is required. The ILPR Enterprise solution builds on this technology and provides a centralized distributed approach where comprehensive management of system resources is the nucleus of the design.
The growth and demand of LPR implementations has significantly increased complexity, staffing requirements and placed greater demands on cost of ownership to maintain service and operate the systems. Although LPR products are typically supported by internal IT departments the unique demands of these deployments can require additional resources such as hiring consultants and engineers to deal with camera configurations and data logistics such as retention, backup and recovery processes.
At HD Protech we realize that although capturing vehicle plate information is an important function it is even more critical to logistically manage the vast amounts of data after they are collected and stored. In addition to data management is the question of system health, reliability and centralized configuration over the network.
The solution must be robust enough to handle the data effectively over the network and determine if the equipment at the edge is operating properly and take action to resolve issues before alerting operations that there is a problem. There are many LPR Engines available which work well in some countries but not others.
ILPR™ Enterprise is a multi-vendor supported solution providing a custom fit that can meet your needs and budget. With our ILPR™ Enterprise product we have developed a methodology to eliminate the complexity of configuring and deploying LPR assets across a wide geographic area. Our automated processes reduce cost of ownership through innovative design and reduction of support personnel, allowing staff to concentrate on other goals.
ILPR™ Enterprise comprises of different components that make up a full comprehensive solution for capturing, analyzing and managing LPR data. Each component must operate independently while be able to be monitored and managed by a single source.
HD Protech LPR Technology inner workings:
IP based LPR, Overview and Occupant cameras are connected directly to a network switch. Analog cameras can also be deployed but they are usually connected to an IP Encoder, then to a network switch. For gate controls, a GPIO is used to send a trigger to the gate controller request for exit (REX). The GPIO is usually a network or directly attached to the LPR processor via USB.
Why more time is needed? Most security communication requires more firewall/VPN configuring and set up time. Every update would require a change to the firewall. HD Protech provides a secure communication within the ILPR™ Enterprise so a Firewall/VPN is not required however this does not mean ILPR™ will not work if you already have a firewall/VPN deploy at each site. It’s just added security.
We also know network administration is a complex process making it harder for installers to locate and troubleshoot issues. To simplify the monitoring processing for most Installers, we’ve included a simple health monitor app that can be loaded separately on any PC with simple color coded display (Red – device not operating and Green – device operating) identifying trouble spots allowing for a faster resolution.
Coupled with HD Protech customer care annual support maintenance, all your questions can be resolved easily.
Overall Features Of ILPR™ Enterprise
Within less a second, each LPR Processor is capable of detect, capture, OCR, write to file and transfer the data on a local network.
Associate different camera sets to a particular LPR Processor unit allowing for easier identification of camera location.
Most LPR systems traditionally use two cameras, the LPR and the Overview. ILPR™ Enterprise allows for a third camera to be added. For high security facility access, an high definition camera can be used to capture the occupant of the vehicle.
ILPR™ primary functions continue to operate even when the Client software is not loaded. Run as a service is designed so other application will not interfere and no user intervention is needed. The LPR Engine also takes advantage of multi-threaded processors to allow the LPR Processor to handle more cameras.
Administrator can configured different audio alerts for different unique events allowing for a clearer notices and should eliminate “alarm fatigue”.
This option can be set as foreground regardless if the application is currently running. In addition, alert groups can be set up to receive all access restrictions alerts. Alerts can be set to a particular vehicle category.
The main PC used to capture and analyze all vehicle plates. HD Protech have different manufacturer LPR Processors proving a wide variety of deployment scenarios. From environment control like a guard house to harsh environment like a traffic controller. Click here to view LPR Processors
This application was designed to allow the guard on duty to view all vehicle access in and out of a facility. For all non-registered vehicles, the Guard can press a button on-screen to allow the vehicle through the gate. All actions taken by the Guard on the system is logged. The Client Application runs on a standard Windows® 7 Professional PC.
Intelligent Device Management Services
This new 4.0 version of ILPR™ Enterprise is known as the device management service (DMS). DMS is a simple “Run as a Service” application that monitor devices at the edge. DMS responds automatically to device failures connected to LPR Processors or ImDVR™ in-car DVR. All actions are logged and can be reviewed at a later time. With additional information about how many times the device has to restarted, you will be able to take appropriate action to repair or replace the device.
Features Coming Soon With DMS
Because ILPR™ Enterprise is modular, we can add an engine base on your requirements. With HD Protech, it’s about choices. Select the appropriate engine that fits not just your budget but also your requirements.
ILPR™ Mobile – ILPR™ Enterprise in a mobile version.
Designed for vehicle such as mass transit buses or law enforcement vehicles. By requests of existing Law Enforcement clients, “Take all the features of our Enterprise and make it mobile.” A complete feature rich solution for securing your assets. Easy to use LPR for vehicle or fixed installation. The same user interface for the different install types, make it easier to manage.
You will be able to color code your database types so if a plate is detected, the display will show the database type and an audio alert can be set to announce the plate or database type.
We provide a mixture of solution for the Law Enforcement agencies. Since our solution is modular, we can provide most law enforcement agencies with specific features tailor to the agencies’ requirements.
The Administrator just have to set the frequency of the database updates and the system takes care of the rest. Intelligent algorithm search allows the Operator to search the local database on the LPR Processor before making the request to the backend SQL database.
LPR Processors are centrally configured but will run without the need to communicate with the backend management thus allowing the LPR Processor to operate and perform management functions with connected devices even when all communication are down.
