EVSS® and CMSS® are supported on the following Platforms:

Linux
Windows
Windows Mobile
Mac OS
Centralized Management Safety System
CMSS Interface CMSS® provides a centralized web based security solution for video surveillance monitoring and has options for video NVR, building access control and mass notification functions. The web application framework is a platform for various security modules that integrate into the system.
Camera Locations (Clusters)
Camera Cluster Location CMSS® supports an unlimited number of cameras and works across a wide geographical area, even globally. Camera locations or clusters are located by a physical address and geocoded to the map location providing a visual marker. The camera cluster marker can be freely moved to fine tune the location. Save the location and cameras can then be added.

A camera cluster is a physical location that contains one or more cameras associated with it.
Adding Cameras to Clusters
Adding Cameras After camera cluster locations are defined adding cameras to the system is very easy. Enter the camera connection information and select a camera script associated with the camera brand and click the camera setup test button to view the camera feed. When configured just save the camera. There is no limit to the number of cameras that can be assigned to a camera cluster location.
Viewing and Controlling Cameras
Viewing Cameras In the camera operator window a list of all the camera clusters and the assigned cameras are available in a tree hierarchy. Select a camera from the tree to view the camera feed. Above the camera feed is the camera control bar. The control bar lets you view camera ports attached to an encoder as well as the camera PTZ controls to manage the camera view if the camera is PTZ equiped.

Additional features include the ability to view the camera server settings and event logs, reboot the camera and download the camera configuration file in a tar file format. From the operator interface the canera video tour windows are available. Up to two camera tours can be run at the same time. You can even split the load percentage between the camera tours.
Camera Tours
Camera Tour The camera tour window provides a continuous loop of cameras in a seperate window. The video images are dynamically scaled based on the window size. The number of cameras displayed range from a grid of 4x4 up to 10x10 cameras. If viewing a large number of cameras is required make sure you have the bandwidth to support it. Additional configuration items include frame rate, compression percentage and display time interval. Most traffic control centers display these feeds on either large monitors or projeted on a large screen for monitoring.

The video feed loop can be paused, continued as well as move forward and backward in the video matrix manually.
Camera Survey
Camera Survey A camera survey is a selection of camera clusters to be viewed in a camera tour window. The map interface displays all of the camera clusters available for selection. Click on the cluster icons in the order to be viewed. As the clusters are clicked they are joined by a connecting line. This is an easy way to select specific routes to be monitored.

Routes can be saved and loaded by user account.
Manage User Accounts
Account Interface User account management is very straight forward. The account information includes employee ID, login password and card reader card number or pin number. An account is assigned a role such as administrator, operator or just card access etc.
Reports
CMSS Reports Comprehensive usage reports are available for user accounts and by date ranges. Reports can also be exported as CSV files. A typical report shows when an account logs in and logs out. Additional informaton shows the video cameras being viewed, access control commands and other tasks performed by the user.
NVR
NVR Network Video Recording lets you select a camera to be recorded. The video is stored on the video storage server for a predefined schedule and is available for playback. Select a camera from the camera tree and a video date. When a video date is selected the video time chunks are available in the video time list. Selected a time and click the play button. Videos can also be downloaded to the local machine.
Building Access Control
Card Access An unlimited number of buildings and access card readers are supported. Like setting up camera clusters and cameras, buildings and card readers are configured in the same manner. Any card reader can have one or more cameras assigned to it. When a reader is selected for a specific building the cameras can be viewed and the card reader opened or locked. This also works great for perimeter gates as well.
